Ash is a good guy, and he feels he owes Jack after finding out that Jack had two years of his memories stolen for trying to help him when he was a human child.
You've prodded the plot bunnies! I'm going to think on that idea, and there might just be an off-shoot story about the Doctor and Savitar coming before too long!
