Jumping in here where I'm probably not wanted, but oh well.
I'm not sure if it's different in Wales, but in NZ we go to kindergarten before we go to school.
Any way that's how I read it. As being from before she started school.
On a side note, love this story, it's brilliant. I'd be more helpful, and effusive, but it's past my bedtime.
