The frustrating thing in the show is that they have tried so hard to establish Gwen's flaws as her best features. I think she could have been a much better character than she is if the writers (and RTD) had approached her from the right angle and not presented her as some high moral saint.
She is flawed, but she can learn. The question is, how long will it take for the lessons to sink in?
