A/N: As promised, here is the first chapter of the next story in my "What Never Should Be" universe. For all those who hoped I would dispose of Gwen in the previous story, and still hope that I will in coming stories, I'm afraid she is in for the long haul, but I would like to stress right now:
These stories are not Gwen-bash stories. However, I do intend on writing Gwen realistically and as such, they will not always be Gwen-friendly. Jack will treat her as he should have treated her in the show - fair but strict.
