The Cougar's Lair

I promised that I would update "No Greater Gift" last weekend. Unfortunately, those plans went down the toilet when our household erupted into World War III and a half. I consequently spent most of my time trying to keep the peace and restore some semblance of order.

I'm happy to say that the home situation has improved markedly this weekend, with the cause of last week's trouble out of the house until Sunday. So, tomorrow I will be focusing on typing up what I've got hand-written of NGG, and getting it posted asap. I am hoping this will prove to be therapeutic for me, in so far as I have had a totally crappy week, and today (Friday) was truly a shrivelled little cherry on top of a very bitter dollop of unnaturally sour cream.

You probably get the general idea.

Tomorrow... Actually, later today, because it is apparently tomorrow already, I plan to adjourn to the local coffee shop, and start planning my NaNo project. Last year I did original work, this year I am just starting to get a clue about what I'll write. I'm tossing up doing an original project alongside a fanfic project, just to hedge my bets. We'll see.

First priority, though - at least one new, decent sized chapter of "No Greater Gift" coming up before the end of this weekend.

And on a brighter note, I finally worked out the banner thing! Thank you heaps to everyone who offered advise. It all came in very useful. I just had to wait until a moment when I wasn't stressed or tired out of my head to be able to work out that I actually needed to change the size of the pixels from "0". Don't ask how long it took me to figure that out. I won't tell - it's embarrassing.

So, now I just need to get me some banners that look better than my pathetic photoshop attempts....
